Lead Platform Engineer

Job Title: Lead Platform EngineerClearance: DV (or SC willing to undergo DV)Overview: We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to help us build the D2S Platform, a cloud-native Kubernetes environment for defence applications. This role requires an urgent start, and we are competing with one other partner for this resource.Key Responsibilities:Deliver and integrate software to form a complete DevOps toolchain.Plan and design large groups of stories.Transform technical requirements into an effective DevOps toolchain to enable product delivery.Provide coaching and mentoring to more junior colleagues.Ensure that deployment strategies for products are repeatable, scalable, and highly available.Provide deep technical knowledge, support delivery teams, and solve complex problems.Skills:Knowledge of and ability to implement solutions for:VMware / Similar virtualisation platformsOpenShift / KubernetesTerraform / Infrastructure as CodeInfoblox / DNSTLS certificate managementDell Data Domain / backupsDell PowerScale / storageDesirable Qualifications:ITIL FoundationCloud certifications, e.G., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
