Are you ready to bring patience, empathy, and a sense of humour to your work every day?If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!Position Overview:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant for a long-term role at a respected school in Shipley, BD17. This full-time position is from September 2024 to December 2024, with the potential for extension based on performance and school needs.Key Requirements:Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.Right to work in the UK.Experience as a Learning Support Assistant in KS3 and/or KS4.Outstanding attendance and time-keeping record.Good standard of literacy and numeracy.Skills and Attributes:Excellent communication skillsSensitivity and understandingPatience and resilienceEmpathy and compassionAbility to use initiativeStrong organisational skillsEffective time managementTeamwork and collaborationAbility to engage well with studentsBuilding strong rapport with studentsAbility to remain calm in stressful situationsFlexibility and openness to changeUnderstanding people's reactionsProviding emotional supportResolving difficult situationsRole Responsibilities:Support pupils with Educational, Health and Care Plans within mainstream lessons.Prepare and lead small group sessions covering a range of subject areas.Commit to the role with enthusiasm, patience, and a sense of humour.Relate positively to young people with a wide range of Special Educational Needs.About the School:The school is dedicated to celebrating student wellbeing, maintaining high academic standards, and achieving success for all.
