Part-Time English Teacher (2 Days Per Week) - Independent School in Tower HamletsAre you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time English Teacher to join our independent school in Tower Hamlets, catering to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, as well as behavioural and engagement challenges.Key Details: Position: Part-Time English Teacher (2 Days Per Week) Location: Tower Hamlets, London Start Date: NovemberAbout Us:We are a nurturing, inclusive independent school dedicated to supporting students with SEMH and behavioural difficulties in a very central location based in Tower Hamlets. We're in a newly refurbished building offering music studios, apple macs and spacious classrooms. We offer a personalised and supportive learning environment, ensuring each child reaches their full potential. Our school is known for its positive and collaborative ethos, where staff work closely to create a calm, engaging atmosphere for students who face challenges in mainstream education. This is a small school setting therefore the teaching is very intermate allowing the time to build strong rapport with the children you will be teaching. Key Responsibilities: Teach English to secondary-aged students with SEMH and behavioural issues Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning Work collaboratively with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to support the holistic development of students Adapt teaching strategies to support students' emotional, social, and academic progressAbout You: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but experienced candidates with a passion for working with SEMH students and teaching experience will be considered Experience teaching students with SEMH, behavioural challenges, and engagement issues is essential. A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students who may struggle with traditional learning environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic attitude A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Experience working with children that have been exposed to youth offending, youth groups, vulnerable backgrounds.
