An SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health needs) school based in Bournemouth are looking to appoint a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with pupils aged 5-16 on a full-time and permanent basis.  The students have a range of needs that include childhood trauma, social anxiety, school phobia, Autism, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), among others. This is an amazing opportunity for somebody who wants to make a difference to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and support young people to access education. You will offer guidance and support both in the classroom, and also with their social and emotional development. You will be required to work Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm), term time only. Start date is as soon as possible. Requirements  The desired Teaching Assistant will have; - Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school aged children - Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH and challenging behaviour. - A passion for the progress of pupils - An ability to work as part of a team What we offer As part of our team, you benefit from: · Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
