Quantex Consulting is a specialist consultancy, with a proven track record in delivering effective quality commercial management, planning, dispute resolution, expert witness and adjudicator and adjudication representation services to the construction and engineering industry. Now entering our twenty-fifth year of business, our core philosophy remains the delivery of quality, cost-effective and valued solutions, gaining the trust of and building excellent working relationships with our clients, securing repeat business and enjoying the process. We are proud that for many with whom we have worked, we remain the first point of contact whenever problems arise on their construction and engineering projects.We are actively seeking an Associate Director to join our team in Birmingham. The role presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated professional to join the executive team and take a lead role in developing the business. Key responsibilities will include:Developing and expanding business opportunities through established and new networksForensic analysis of tender, contract and claims documentationIndependent preparation of claims for loss and expenseIndependent preparation of adjudication documentation and submissionsDrafting written reports and identifying conclusions and recommendationsAdvising on contractual matters across a range of Standard Forms of Contract and Sub-Contract (JCT/NEC/FIDIC)Provision of strategic adviceThe successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:Qualification as a Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered SurveyorsA minimum of 10 years post degree qualification experienceIdeally an LLB, MSc or Post Graduate Diploma but must have an in-depth knowledge of the principles of contract lawA track-record of proficiency in managing the Construction Adjudication process, either as advisor, party representative or as a practicing adjudicatorAn ability to prepare (or assist with the production of) Expert Witness ReportsExtensive experience in a variety of construction and engineering projectsProficiency in preparing, assessing and interrogating construction costsExcellent communication and report writing skillsHave a proven ability to generate new business and maintain client relationshipsWe offer an attractive and competitive reimbursement package, commensurate with experience and qualification, potentially leading to the position of Director and a shareholding in the business. The package includes benefits such as private medical insurance, life assurance, pension salary sacrifice, reimbursement of professional fees and sponsorship for further approved training and qualifications. As part of the leadership team, the successful candidate will be expected to work mainly from our Birmingham Office, with opportunities for hybrid working where business appropriate.  However, the candidate should be prepared and expect to travel as part of the role, predominantly within the UK and Republic of Ireland but potentially overseas for short commissions if necessary.Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview in Birmingham with members of our management team.Quantex Consulting is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.To apply:Please email a short introductory message attaching your curriculum vitae to [email protected].  We look forward to receiving your application.
