Health And Safety Supervisor

• Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Supervisor as part of a newly created role supporting the Health and Safety Manager. The role involves maintaining high standards of health and safety across our transport depots and maintenance sites, reducing workplace incidents and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

Day to Day of the role:

• Develop, maintain, communicate, and review risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments for all employees.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, maintaining accident statistics and conducting root cause analysis.
• Promote incident, accident, and near miss reporting.
• Ensure safe working procedures are in place, communicated, and adhered to.
• Carry out workplace inspections, audits, and site safety walkthroughs.
• Conduct random drug and alcohol testing.
• Identify and manage H&S training requirements and develop internal training.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience in a senior H&S role.
• Ability to identify risks and provide solutions, including thorough auditing.
• Confident in liaising with Senior Managers and managing own time effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
• Knowledge of the transport industry and DVSA regulations is ideal.
• Full driving licence and flexibility in working hours, including early starts.
