Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Selby/York Area
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
I'm currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager on behalf of a well-established and financially sound food manufacturing business located just outside Selby/York, whom we have successfully supported over the years. This SME, known for its clean, well-maintained facility, has recently invested over £2 million into their operations, with more exciting projects planned.
Reporting to the Site Factory Manager, you will have full autonomy to lead a dedicated team of four engineers. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to either step up into a management position or continue your career as an experienced Engineering Manager. You ll focus on driving efficiency, leading key projects, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring effective task delegation and performance.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Manage internal and external projects from planning to execution.
- Ensure site compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain a strong focus on safety and sustainability.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and drive continuous improvement.
What you ll have:
- Relevant experience in engineering, with the ambition to step up or a proven track record as an Engineering Manager.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and project management.
- Solid understanding of HSE compliance, PPM schedules, and cost management.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
