Hartmann Young is retained with a leading CDMO in the dietary supplement/ nutraceutical sector who are expanding their presence in the UK market. With established operations currently in Germany and Italy, the company is now seeking to develop on-the-ground business in the UK. The Role: The company is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead its business development efforts in the UK. The role will focus entirely on business development initially, as there is no existing client base in the region. This position requires a candidate with strong industry connections and the ability to open doors to medium and large-sized companies. The Sales Manager will be selling the full capabilities of the organisation, leveraging its global offerings, from contract manufacturing to R&D and centralised functions. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a sales strategy to establish new business relationships in the UK market. Utilise existing industry contacts to secure high-value opportunities with medium to large companies. Sell the company’s complete range of services, including dietary supplements, cosmetics, protein powders, and more. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, ensuring the successful closing of deals. Report directly to the CFO and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe. Participate in client meetings, industry events, and travel to meet prospects as needed. Candidate Profile: Proven experience in CDMO or dietary supplements sales, with a strong focus on business development. A self-starter with a network of industry contacts, particularly with medium to large businesses. Solid understanding of contract manufacturing, supply chain, and product development. Strong negotiation, relationship management, and sales skills. Ability to work independently and launch a business development function from the ground up.
