PROJECT MANAGER Location: Nationwide Hours of work: 40 Contract Type: Permanent Working with a prestigious client in the banking sector, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver a variety of projects across the client's account. Job Description Dealing with Capital Projects, Refurbs and Asset Replacement - the ideal candidate will have autonomy to manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with health and safety standards, and alignment with financial and operational targets. The Project Manager will develop and manage the project pipeline to make sure that all projects meet the required margin while driving business development and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities To perform survey and scoping works developing Client brief into a working schedule of works. To support the Head of Projects in the implementation and delivery of projects & technical support services across the Client account in order to ensure high standard of service. Produce project cost plans, ensure project delivery and implementation. Ensure financial management of each project and full P&L responsibility regionally. Maintain the Project delivery roadmap and overall planning of the project delivery with inputs provided from all workstreams. Review project schedules and budgets and questioning them when they fall off schedule or over budget. To maintain day to day contact with Client representatives to review and resolve operational matters within projects. To respond rapidly to short term operational issues arising from existing projects. To provide regular updates and management information on Project performance. To ensure that the highest quality standards are applied in all areas of day to day activity in order to satisfy and maintain ISS defined standards and the requirements of external quality verification. About You Experience operating as a Senior Manager Level within the building maintenance industry, preferably in either the Facilities Management (FM) or Construction sector. Demonstrate experience in managing projects to a value of £10m. Demonstrate experience of managing Health & Safety compliance. Demonstrate experience of estimating project costs, and presenting high quality tender documents to customers. Demonstrate IT literacy capability for software applications such as AUTOCAD, Intellect (accounts) plus full literacy with Microsoft Office suite. Incl. MS Project. Strong communicator with great interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Statutory requirements within the construction arena. Good CDM Knowledge. Working to RIBA stages of work or similar. People Management – the ability to manage teams and interface with diverse stakeholders. Commercial Awareness – the ability to understand the key financial, labour and material variables and identify to the business where improvements can be made. Resource Management – the ability to recognise where labour and materials can be saved and bring act on this knowledge. Technical expertise, qualifications in an engineering/building fabric discipline would be an important pre-requisite of the role. Knowledge of key operational procedures, eg, project road maps, planned maintenance systems, Quality and Health & Safety.
