Managing Director – Industrial ManufacturingOur customer is a successful and growing specialist metal products manufacturing business, supplying the automotive and transportation industry. Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, and part of a large privately owned group, they are a well known branded business and market leader within the chosen industries they serve. The business is looking to continue enhancing revenue and profitability, through being more operational streamlined, as well as expanding their customer base. As a result, they have an exciting opportunity for a new Managing Director to lead the business on the next stage of their growth journey.Role Overview:The Managing Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and hands-on guidance supporting all aspects of the company's business operations. This includes overseeing material sourcing and purchasing, manufacturing processes, business development initiatives, financial control and ensuring overall organisational effectiveness.Experience Required:At least 5 years in a Managing Director role with balanced experience of working in both large and SME manufacturing organisations.Ideally a manufacturing operations background with strength in using Lean process to better improve manufacturing performance and ensure quality standards are improvedFurther develop existing customer relationships whilst enhancing opportunities in new market areas.Strong financial acumen having led businesses to ensure cash flow and profitability performance whilst supporting the vision and objectives of the overall organisation.Balanced hands-on people management and leadership skills bringing a mindset that focuses on evolving the strength of team members to ensure future delegation and succession planning.Experience of working within industrial metals product or automotive industries preferred.Intellectual agility with the ability to work with the Group to enhance the sustainable growth and performance of the business.What is on offer:A competitive salary, bonus and executive benefits package.
