We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our prestigious clients finance team within their professional services business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting practices, with a focus on delivering accurate financial reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Duties
Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, overseeing timely payments and collections. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and PeopleSoft to maintain financial records. Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency. Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in financial legislation that may impact the organisation.Skills / Experience
Proficient in accounting software Qualified accountant, qualified by ACCA Experience as a senior finance business partner, senior accountant, finance manager or role similiar for at least 5 years. Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices. Excellent knowledge of financial accounting standards and regulations. Experience in accounts payable processes and financial services. Proven ability to mentor and develop junior staff members effectively. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across teams
