PART TIME HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATOR BLAENAVON PERMANENT – 25.5 HOURS PER WEEL SALARY £27500 PRO RATA RSW are looking to recruit a part time Health and Safety Coordinator for a permanent role with their client based in Blaenavon. * Responsible for the Health, Safety & Welfare of Employees. * Managing & Updating the Company’s general Health & Safety in the Workplace on a day-to day basis, incl. Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Fire Safety, etc. * Carrying out H&S housekeeping inspections * Updating H&S policies and procedures * Document and investigate all accidents/investigations. * Deliver toolbox talks on health and safety issues to all levels. * Maintaining the H&S management system * Advising Managers, Foremen and Employees on current Health & Safety Legislation. Person Specification: Candidates should ideally hold a NEBOSH General certificate with experience in all areas of workplace Health & Safety. Candidates should ideally have experience in a heavy manufacturing environment where machining, profiling and fabricating/welding occur. Knowledge of a paint plant would also be advantageous. Good communication skills and the ability to use all Microsoft Office packages is essential. Applicants must be approachable, very ‘hands on’ and be comfortable in spending time on the shop floor. A calm, assertive and firm attitude is vital with the ability to work under pressure and without direct supervision. Hours of Work Monday – Wednesday 08:00 – 17:00 (1/2 Hr Lunch Unpaid) Minimum 25.5 Hours per Week. Wages The position is monthly paid, and wages are negotiable. However, qualified and experienced candidates can expect to be paid a salary an annual salary of £27,500.00 pro rata. Pension The Company currently runs an auto-enrolment pension scheme with Royal London, with a total contribution being made of 9% (4.5% employee & 4.5% employer). Holidays 12.5 Days Annual Leave + 5 Bank/Public Holidays per calendar year (Jan – Dec).
