We are dedicated to providing innovative solutions and advanced technology to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Java Contractor to join our Belfast team on a competitive daily rate basis.
Position Overview:
As a Java Contractor, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that meet the dynamic needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-performance Java applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to understand and implement business requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Conduct unit testing and support the Quality Assurance team during testing phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay up to date with the latest Java development trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in Java programming language and related technologies (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Previous experience in financial services or trading environments.
Contract Details:
- Rate: Up to £550 per day, depending on experience.
- Location: Hybrid, office based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
- Duration: Contract position with potential for extension based on project requirements and performance.
- Start Date: Immediate availability preferred.
