Streetmason Improver

Our local authority client is currently looking for a a Streetmason Improver on a Temporary basic, initially until the end of November 2024, however will be reviewed.

Pay Rate From £12.81 to £13.70 per Hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of highways, sewers, and watercourses.
• Lay paving products such as slabs, kerbs, blocks, concrete paving, and natural stone.
• Use power-assisted tools, minor plant, and machinery.
• Drive, clean, and carry out routine maintenance of vehicles and plant.
• Plan and prioritize work activities to meet productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Works Specifications.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Streetmason or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Ability to work closely in a team under the guidance of a Site Team Leader or Supervisor.
• A driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Additional Information:

• The role involves working on-site anywhere within the city and occasionally further afield.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet operational needs.
• Participation in the City Highways out-of-hours standby rota is expected.

This role offers an opportunity to work with a team of highway professionals, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of Leicester s infrastructure.
