Panel Wirer

We are currently seeking highly skilled individuals for the position of Panel Wirer for our client at their production facility, assembly, and test facility in Birmingham City Centre. They design, manufacture, and repair a range of products for defence and industrial markets, including ATEX Lighting, Electrical Distribution, Instrumentation, and Control solutions. Please note: Due to the nature of our work in the defence sector, candidates must hold a British Passport . Pay Rate: £16-£18 per hour, dependent on experience. Key Responsibilities: Wiring and assembly of components for light fittings up to control cabinets and panels Crimping, routing, and cable terminating work on control panels Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematic wiring accordingly Mechanical and electrical assembly Use of hand tools and soldering Essential Requirements: Experience with point-to-point wiring Cable end termination experience (crimping/soldering) Ability to work from GA and schematic drawings Experience in control panel wiring and cable routing Strong background in electrical assembly and wiring of control panels Ability to work independently on projects Desired Skills: Manufacturing to IPC Class 3 standard Prototype and development wiring experience Basic testing experience Ability to mentor and train junior colleagues Benefits: Competitive pay + overtime (when required) Permanent or fixed-term contract available 25 days holiday + bank holidays (including Christmas shutdown) Working Hours: Monday Thursday: 07:30 16:00 Friday: 07:30 12:30 If you are a highly skilled Panel Wirer looking for a rewarding opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
