Finance Manager

JOB TITLE: FINANCE MANAGERLOCATION: SOHO, LONDON (HYBRID)*LOOKING TO INTERVIEW FAST*The CompanyA video game publishing company supporting game developers of both mobile and console productions to reach wider audiences, build stronger video games through technical support and raise funding as required. The team have been behind some of the UK’s most downloaded games and continue to break new boundaries through innovative brand partnerships delivering unique playing experiences for its audiences.The RoleYou will join the team as the Finance Manager reporting into the Finance Director and responsible for managing day to day functions across the company’s team in both the UK and abroad. You will also take part in some business forecast and reporting duties.This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to work in industry for a growing and international video game producer, working a hybrid model of 3 days remote and 2 days office based.Key TasksProduce month end reports and journals.Manage Royalties payment records to game developers.Prepare consolidation models.Provide support across the companies entities in multiple countries and currencies, liaising with local finance teams as required e.g. Sweden, USA, Philippines, Poland…Prepare monthly and company reconciliation reports.Weekly and longer term cashflow forecast.Accounts payable and receivable work, mostly automated through Xero.Manage payroll.Prepare weekly payment runs.Quarterly VAT return.Contribute to automating and streamlining processes.Work with the company VC’s CFO and Financial Controller.Candidate Requirements CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified ideally with some industry experience.Experience working for a fast growth SME or start-up is preferred to be used to the demands and benefits of working for a smaller team.Flexible and proactive approach to work.Interest in the video game sector a bonus.Royalties reporting and experience would be a bonus.Experience of using Xero is a bonus.
