Youth Support Worker
LOCATION:

£12.50 - £13 per hour DURATION:
Temp to Perm HOURS:
Full Time hours on a rota (Days 8am-8pm and Nights 8pm- 8am)
Day to Day Duties:
Provide support to vulnerable young people and adults who cannot remain within their family home and/or are looking to develop their independence, via semi-independent homes and bespoke outreach services. The clients will have bespoke packages of care and support, you will be working from clear and robust pathway plans that will evidence the progress you are enabling. Always Maintain and model appropriate behaviour in-line with the organisations Anti-Discriminatory policy. Contribution to the development of the young people’s independence through the provision of a healthy lifestyle, a variety of stimulating activities and a consistent and caring adult model. Be sensitive to the needs of individual young people, taking account of race, culture, language, and religion. Contribute to care planning, participating in reviews and other meetings as required, and to assist in the implementation of care plans. Provide for the young people’s physical needs as necessary, for example by cooking, washing, ironing, shopping, budgeting, or by enabling the purchase of household items. Ensure that every young person is treated fairly and as an individual entitled to respect and dignity. Share in the practical activities necessary to maintain a home Essential requirements
DBS within the last 12 months (must have original copy) Previous residential support. Ability to write reports. Flexibility is required as we are requiring support workers to work a range of shifts, this includes mornings, afternoon, waking nights, sleep ins and weekend shifts. Desirable requirements
