We are currently seeking a Software Architect to lead the development of Software Architecture for a leading Defence organisation committed to advancing cutting-edge products.

Responsibilities Collaborate with teams to define and manage software architecture, including structural and temporal components and interfaces. Document and manage design drivers e.g. performance, safety, and security. Create and document derived and emergent requirements with supporting rationale. Ensure the architecture is robust and unaffected by implementation changes. Work with architects and engineers to support design and review activities. Contribute to long-term strategy, product lines, and tech innovations. Engage in product system design using leading technology for reliable, secure products.

Skills & Experience Experienced in making key architectural and design decisions. Proficient in modern software architecture techniques and design patterns. Strong supporter for practices like continuous integration and good design. Skilled in evaluating trade-offs within software architecture. Knowledgeable in software abstraction layers and stacks. Experienced in selecting tools, frameworks, and technologies. Strong programming background across multiple languages.
