The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and be able to manage projects across various sectors including Defence, Commercial, Leisure, Health, Education, Industrial and some Residential. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and make a real impact within our company.ResponsibilitiesManage and lead mechanical design projects from concept to completionDevelop and present proposals and reports to clientsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project deliveryUtilise advanced CAD software to create detailed designs and drawingsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersStay updated on industry trends and best practices to optimize design processesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineeringProficiency in advanced CAD softwareIntermediate knowledge of RevitStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDay-to-dayCollaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project executionCreating and presenting detailed design proposals to clientsReviewing and revising mechanical designs based on feedback and technical analysisMentoring and providing guidance to junior engineersResearching and implementing industry best practices to enhance design processes and project outcomesAttending and participating in project meetings and design reviews to ensure alignment with client requirements and company standardsDue to some of the projects being in defence, the successful candidate must be able to gain BPSS Clearance.
