Job Title: FM Electrician Location: Leicester Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Benefits: Excellent corporate benefits package + further electrical qualifications training provided About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dedicated FM Electrician to join the Facilities Management team at HMP Fosse Way, a new Category C resettlement prison in Leicester with a capacity for 1,700 prisoners. You will play a key role in ensuring the electrical systems within the prison are maintained to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Fault finding and defect rectification on electrical plant and equipment. Carrying out pre-planned maintenance of electrical systems. Installing new electrical plant and apparatus as needed. Documenting inspection findings and resolving issues independently or as part of a team. Participating in an on-call roster (1 in 8 weeks), with occasional out-of-hours and weekend work. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30. Flexibility for out-of-hours and weekend work as required. Qualifications & Experience: City & Guilds Electrical Certificate or equivalent qualification. Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship. Qualified to BS7671 (current IEE regulations). At least 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience in electrical work.
