The opportunity

As a People (Human Resources) Administrator, you will be responsible for administrative tasks, and supporting employees through the full life cycle, including but not limited to maintaining employee records, issuing documentation, logging, and monitoring absence, note-taking, data and MI reporting.


What exactly will you do?

  • Address employee enquiries and provide general HR support, in a timely manner, in line with any set SLA’s.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment contracts, and any changes in employee status.
  • Maintain and update HR systems and reports to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • To conduct regular audits to ensure the information we hold on record is accurate and aligns with other departments data.
  • Generate reports and provide HR-related data and metrics as required.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process; conduct pre-employment checks and produce offer letters/contracts of employment.
  • Prepare/issue documentation for the employee’s full life cycle, including but not limited to probation completions, flexible working requests, change to contracts, absence management, formal meeting outcomes, maternity/paternity leave, offboarding and processing/updating on our HR system.
  • Monitor and log employee absence via the absence line, raise and action triggers, and conduct return to work meetings.
  • Support with notetaking in formal meetings, ensure accuracy and discuss the case with the investigating officer.
  • Support with ER issues and escalate to relevant Business Partner, where appropriate
  • Work closely with the wider People Team providing support in relation to recruitment, training and development and colleague engagement.
  • Analyse a wide range of employee data and provide recommendations to management.
  • Support with exit interviews and identify trends/patterns using data collated and prepare monthly reports.
  • Ensure all HR policies are in line with employment law and provide advice and guidance to managers, and employees.
  • Keep updated with employment law changes, HR developments and best practices.
  • Contribute to and own a range of HR projects and initiatives across the employee life cycle.
  • Support with the ongoing development of our HR system to maintain the integrity of the employee data in our systems and maintain their accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Any other ad-hoc duties deemed appropriate and suitable for this role


What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in an administrative role within a People/HR function
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Commitment to own self-development
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities to tight deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong multitasking ability with a can-do and follow-through attitude.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and a strong desire to succeed, with proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and practical, logical thinking.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.


Desirable

  • Experience working with HR databases (People HR)
  • CIPD Level 3 Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Business Administration qualification
