Data Centre Technician (Smart Hands) * Location: Hendon NW9 - Must be within 30-35 minutes commute to site * Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am- 17:30pm * Salary: Base Salary plus Oncall Allowance + Company Benefits Vysiion Want to be part of a leading British-owned tech and engineering company? Your new role ANY HANDS ON EXPERIENCE WELCOME- TRAINING PROVIDED We are recruiting for the role of a Data Centre Technician for providing customer support to our large and diverse client base ensuring service levels are maintained and the ticketing system is fully up to date within the data centre space. Some your responsibilities will include: * Installation of server, network and storage hardware with associated cabling/patching * Perform cabling/patching duties of both copper and fibre for a variety of different client requirements * Decommission hardware and prepare for shipping whilst coordinating with third party couriers * Perform various remote hands duties within Data Centres which include power cycling equipment, replacing failed hardware components, re-seating network cards and testing cabling * Perform audit work for clients cabling and hardware and produce supporting documentation What you’ll need to succeed * Must meet SC and BPSS security clearance vetting and approval requirements * Must be within 30 minute commute to Hendon site and flexible to travel to the other sites * Previous experience in a similar role * Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and being able to make informed decisions * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Full UK Driving License and personal car is essential for this position * Logical in your approach to troubleshooting, problem solving and fault diagnosis What we offer * Career progression opportunities into management or other engineering roles * Autonomy and freedom to manage your own time and workload * Vibrant company culture with a wide range of events and social activities throughout the year * Comprehensive benefits including on-site cafe with free barista coffee, birthday leave, charity leave, vitality health cover and holiday purchase scheme to gain an extra 5 days leave!
