Credit Manager

Job Title: Credit Manager Location : Birmingham Salary: £47k per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full Time The Company: Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Manager to oversee our credit operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial services, ensuring the effective management of accounts payable and credit risk. Key Responsibilities Oversee the entire credit granting process, including credit risk assessment, loan approval, and collection procedures. Evaluate and approve credit limits for new and existing customers. Develop and enforce credit policies to ensure efficient cash flow and minimal credit risk. Manage accounts receivable and collections, working closely with clients to maintain positive relationships while ensuring timely payments. Analyse financial data and trends to forecast credit exposure and recommend strategies to minimize risk. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing credit team. Qualifications Proven experience in a credit management or financial services role. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Sage, or similar platforms. Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
