Estimator

Job Title: Estimator (Architectural Metalwork) Location: Hitchin Employment Type: Permanent, On-site We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team, specialising in Architectural Metalwork and Secondary Steel. This is a permanent, on-site role where you'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of projects in the architectural and secondary steelwork sectors. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed estimates for architectural metalwork and secondary steel projects * Interpret drawings and specifications to understand project requirements * Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate pricing * Source materials, liaise with suppliers, and negotiate costs * Prepare tender submissions and manage tender processes * Review and update estimates throughout project lifecycles * Ensure projects remain within budget and meet deadlines Requirements: * Proven experience in estimating within the architectural metalwork or secondary steel industry * Strong understanding of steelwork, particularly secondary steel structures * Excellent knowledge of reading technical drawings and specifications * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously * Strong negotiation and communication skills * Familiarity with estimating software Benefits: * Competitive salary, based on experience * Opportunity to work on varied and exciting projects * Permanent, full-time position with room for career growth * On-site role, located in Hitchin If you are an experienced Estimator with a background in architectural metalwork and secondary steel, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career
