GSL Education are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in local schools in Southampton. This position is on a 0-hour contract, allowing you the freedom to work as much or as little as you want. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher during lessons, collaborate with other support staff, and work one-on-one with special needs students. We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting diverse learners and expertise working with students who have Special Educational Needs.
To excel in Teaching Assistants role, it would be beneficial if you:
Have prior experience in a school setting. Have experience working with children or adults with learning difficulties such as ADHD, SEMH, and ASC. Possess a solid understanding of Special Educational Needs or be willing to learn. Can demonstrate a clear understanding of the Teaching Assistant's role in a special need’s environment. Are capable of engaging students in their learning and supporting their social, emotional, and personal development. Develop an engaging learning environment that inspires all students to reach their full potential. Advocate for and support the growth and development of each student in your care. The ideal candidate for Teaching Assistants role should be:
Caring and enthusiastic. Resilient and optimistic. Confident in managing challenging behaviour. Show a strong commitment to safeguarding. To work with GSL Education as a Teaching Assistant, you should:
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
