Job title: Electronic Design Engineer

Salary: £41,361+ depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:
  • Design and develop electronic products, both ground based and airborne equipment for military aerospace customers
  • Analogue and digital circuit design
  • Generate circuit schematics as well as design, test and validation documentation in accordance with company processes
  • Report to Group Leader on project progress and be able to deliver a project to budget and schedule constraints
Your skills and experiences:

Essential:
  • Previous experience of Electronic/Electrical (with Electronic bias) Design and producing electronic products in an Engineering environment (ideally aerospace)
  • Designing for EMC and Low Voltage Directive
  • Product testing, commissioning and fault finding
  • Experience of using Circuit/Schematic Capture, Circuit Simulation and PCB Layout (Toolset experience preference of Siemens)
  • Working knowledge of Xilinx CPLD's and FPGA's
Desirable:
  • Appreciation of National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW
  • Designing for DO-254 and ATEX

The Electronics Product Design team:

The Electronics & Hardware ardwareH Engineering department based at Warton, Lancashire of the Air Sector business of BAE Systems is looking to recruit an Electronics Design Engineer, with an Electronics background although those with Electrical/Electronic skills are encouraged to apply. You will join an existing multi-disciplined team involved in the design and development of Electronic products for the military aerospace industry.
