Our marine client is looking for a Payroll Officer on a full-time contract basis until the end of March 2025 in Aberdeen (Hybrid Working). ROLE The Payroll Officer will be responsible for the processing of payroll on a monthly basis. They will be required to liaise closely with the payroll provider, the business & the HR Department in order to process an accurate payroll in line with payroll policy, procedures and relevant legislation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs duties necessary for the calculation of accurate wages and salaries of employees. Has detailed knowledge of procedures covering multiple payrolls, which require different deduction and tax treatment. Management of payroll timetable and internal deadlines. Management and resolution of employee payroll queries. Management of payroll files and records. Payroll administration of salary sacrifice schemes. Maintenance of float and salary advance information. Management of the P11D/PSA process. Administration of pension scheme memberships. Journal creating and maintenance. Reconciliation of wage accounts. Administration of employee recharges. Maintenance and distribution of balance statements for Guaranteed Earnings to employees and relevant management. REQUIREMENTS: AAT qualification is desirable, but not essential. Proven experience managing a payroll for c.500 employees with various allowance structures in place
