Associate Director - Construction Recruitment£50,000 - £60,000 + CommissionBirmingham (Hybrid)They will not hire anybody with less than 5 years experience in recruitment, preferably in a 360 capacity with a heavy focus on business development. This is a new desk, and will require sales acumen and a true networker. Sector agnostic, but must be able to commute to Birmingham 2 days a week. -----------------------------------------------------ABOUTJoshua Robert, a leading name in property and construction recruitment, is seeking a driven Associate Director to join their Birmingham-based team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the growth of a desk within the construction sector, working closely with David Lane, a seasoned construction recruitment industry expert and former Director at Hays. Joshua Robert was founded by Josh Powell, a recruitment industry leader who became the youngest ever director at Hays and the national top fee earner for three consecutive years. Tired of the corporate environment, Josh set out to create a business that values genuine, long-term relationships with clients. Since establishing in 2017/18, they’ve grown their team and successfully pivoted to thrive in the public sector during challenging times. By 2024, they solidified their position with a profitable revenue of £3-4 million, working with top-tier clients. They specialise exclusively in the property sector, with 50% of their revenue coming from public sector clients. THE ROLE We’re looking for a highly motivated and strategic recruitment leader to join the Birmingham team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and expanding our construction recruitment desk, focusing on developing new business and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Location: Birmingham Renumeration: £50,000-£60,000 per annum plus commission, depending on experience and role level Client portfolio: Work closely with numerous well known leading construction clients to understand their staffing needs and deliver service excellence. Reporting to: Directly report to David Lane, an experienced construction industry expert and former director at Hays. RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Development: Take charge of business development activities, building relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a strong focus on generating new business and growing a desk within the industry. Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their specific recruitment needs within the construction sector. Develop tailored recruitment solutions to meet these needs. Recruitment Management: Oversee the entire recruitment process, from job posting and candidate sourcing to placement. You will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing high-quality candidates in temporary roles. Leadership & Strategy: You may also be involved in strategic planning, team leadership, and contributing to the overall growth and direction of the business. This role is perfect for a recruitment professional with a strong background in business development, particularly within the construction sector.
