Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer Salary £35,000 - £40,000 (Experience Dependant) We are seeking a skilled and committed Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will service, inspect, and repair a range of heavy equipment at customer sites. You will work independently, focusing on problem-solving, safety adherence, and precision. Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are crucial. The position requires travel across multiple locations, covering a significant area of the country. Responsibilities: Select appropriate repair techniques, equipment, and materials while following safety protocols. Obtain customer approval upon completion of work. Perform maintenance and repairs as per manufacturer's instructions. Be available for additional hours, including out-of-hours and unsociable hours if needed. Travel and work at customer locations with or without workshop facilities. Skills Required: Flexible, deadline-driven, and able to work under pressure. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of road traffic laws. Ability to build strong relationships and manage workload independently. Problem-solving and self-motivation. Knowledge and Qualifications: Familiarity with diagnostic systems and experience in fault diagnosis. Experience with heavy goods/specialist vehicles. City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems or equivalent. Valid driving license.
