Sub Agent Rail

A long term, inside IR35, opportunity exists for a competent rail Sub Agent proficient in taking a project from preconstruction to hand-over for tier one or principal Contractors.

Experience in leading a team of Engineers on major projects constructing multi-span viaducts, bridges, earthworks, drainage, utilities, new stations and station upgrades, is sought.

Duties will include

• Assisting the Site Agent on cost monitoring and programming
• Completing WPP, TBS, risk assessments and site permits
• Monitoring and reporting on costs and progress
• Management and mentoring of Section, Site and Assistant Engineers.
• Ensuring high levels of engineering control and recording
• Communicate with key stakeholders and maintain a helpful collaborative approach
• Adopt and promote the use of BIM technologies
• Identify and put corrective actions in place for any non conformances found
• Ensure resources are ordered and available in time
• Ensuring and implementing health and safety

Requirements for this position include

• Extensive experience on rail projects working for a tier one or Principal Contractor in a similar position
• A civil engineering qualification, preferably ICE Technician or incorporated level
• Excellent motivational and communication skills
• Commercially and contractually aware
• PTS preferred but not essential (Candidates without must be willing to obtain a PTS)
• CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid
• TWC, AP would be beneficial
