Or are you eager to enhance your skills and knowledge within the defence industry?Join us in developing the next generation of missile defence systems, where you can focus on future innovations and contribute to MBDA's world-leading defence capabilities.We are looking for experienced professionals to join our dedicated Electrical Architecture team.In this role, you will manage various power systems equipment and oversee all related aspects, acting as the Equipment Requirement Authority (ERA) to support the project. You may also have the opportunity to lead a small team as needed.Key Responsibilities:Provide advice and technical knowledge on power supplies and power systems architecture to the project and its suppliersProject manage the delivery of the complete power system for a project, including several power supply units (AC/DC, DC/DC) and thermal batteries during development, qualification, and manufactureManage relationships with multiple internal and external design authorities/stakeholders for the delivery of the power systems hardware, software, and deliverables to schedule, cost, quality, and performanceManage relationships with key design authorities/suppliers of interfacing hardware equipment to the power systemProduce Statements of WorkReview qualification verification evidence for power systems equipmentTrack and resolve non-compliancesArrange design reviews with appropriate stakeholdersControl assigned budgets and work package managementManage risks and opportunitiesLead and support less experienced engineers on the projectSupport and train less experienced engineers within the functionSupport the production of guidelines for best practices for power systems (including architecture, load analysis, power modelling, testing, etc.)What We’re Looking for From You:Ideally, a degree or equivalent qualification with experience in electrical/electronic engineering or a related subject; however, experience and knowledge of power systems are key for this roleKnowledge of Mil-Std-704 is useful but not essentialKnowledge of incorporating permanent magnet generators into a power architecture is desirable but not essentialSecurity Clearance:Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to gain UK government security clearance.
