The Client

The Role

As the company continues to scale, they are seeking a seasoned and adaptable finance professional to lead their financial strategy and drive long-term success. This role is pivotal to shaping the financial direction of the business, working closely with the leadership team to ensure robust financial health and contribute directly to its ongoing growth and global expansion.

In this dynamic position, you will take ownership of the financial function, partnering with the CEO and Directors to provide strategic insights through budgeting and forecasting, streamline processes, enhance financial systems, and produce management accounts. You’ll also play a key role in bringing the finance function in-house, offering a unique chance to shape the future of the company. Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports on budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses
• Deliver strategic financial leadership to ensure alignment with the company’s goals
• Act as a mentor and advisor to the leadership team
• Play a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy and supporting its broader objectives
• Design and implement financial policies that support sound financial management and ensure strong financial controls across the business
• Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to inform financial strategy
• Lead training initiatives to improve the financial literacy of staff and ensure accounting best practices are followed
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks

What our client would like to see (required):

• QBE or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS)
• Experience using Xero
• Experience in a creative SME
• Previous experience scaling a small business
• Experience with streamlining processes

What we would like to see (preferred):

• Experience using project management software
• Experience in a design agency

Location: London

Working model: Hybrid

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + profit bonus
