As a Mechanical Engineer you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of mechanical equipment within a Warehouse setting. Key Responsibilities: Engine Expertise: Apply your strong knowledge of small engines, including 2-stroke petrol and diesel engines, to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Hands-On Repairs: Work with and repair a variety of mechanical equipment, such as power washers, heaters, compressors, generators, cement mixers, and hydraulic equipment (e.g., engine cranes, shop presses, porta power units). Fault Diagnosis: Follow fault diagnosing instructions methodically to identify and resolve issues. Basic Electrical Knowledge: Utilize your basic electrical knowledge to complement your mechanical repairs. Technical Support: Provide telephone support for mechanical items, using your excellent communication skills to assist and advise. PDI Equipment: Manage and perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for mechanical equipment. Essential Criteria: Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of small engines and mechanical systems. Experience: Proven experience with repairing a wide range of mechanical equipment and hydraulic tools. Electrical Basics: Basic electrical knowledge to aid in comprehensive repairs. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to methodically approach and resolve mechanical faults. Communication Skills: Good telephone communication skills for providing technical support.
