About the Company:Based in the West Midlands our Client is looking for an IT Manager to join their friendly team. The business is highly regarded as a leading manufacturer producing critical parts for the Defence and Aerospace sectors and to be successful in this role you will need to have worked in a manufacturing environment - we would be very interested in candidates from Defence or similar high security sectors (The ability to gain SC clearance).About the Role:As their new IT Manager you will be responsible for:Leading and mentoring a small team of IT professionals.Establishing performance goals and providing ongoing feedback, coaching, and development to enhance team performance and capability.Ensure Cyber Security Strategies, procedure and policies are maintained and developed in line with Defence Customer requirements.Maintain Cyber Essentials Plus standards and qualification.Ensure IT systems and data security through the implementation of cybersecurity measures, policies, and practices.Ensure current and future processes meet the appropriate business and recognised Quality Standards.Developing strategic plans and practices that support integrated and progressive infrastructure and operations to meet current and future business requirements.Researching and implementing best practices for infrastructure services, including proven infrastructure methodologies, service management processes, and operational support.Providing technical expertise (both tactical and operational) on the evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems.Conduct cost-benefit analyses for necessary upgrades and monitor vendors to ensure they provide the best service and value for business needs. Maintaining costs within budget.Plan and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network infrastructure.Administer and maintain the companies Infor ERP business solution, ensuring best use by end users. Support best practice and data validation of system, through assisting in training with Departmental heads.Maintain and develop ERP reporting and assist the senior Team in the development and customisation of the system, to ensure business needs are met.Ensure the companies 365 / SharePoint environment remains secure and develop as business needs require.Qualifications:Substantial managerial experience in technology, team leadership, and managing complex systems. Experience in leading cross-functional teams effectively and collaboratively in a mid-sized or large organization. The ability to focus on multiple products and communicate effectively within your team and with other key stakeholders. Excellent innovation skills and a strong commercial sense to ensure returns on investments made into technology. Exposure to broad and diverse technology stacks - Microsoft 365, Azure, Infor ERP, etc. Proven experience in managing complex projects and critical, highly reliable systems. Experience in managing budgets and forecasting project costs.
