Composite Kit Cutter Coventry £38000 - £45000pa Job Summary The Composite Kit Cutter is responsible for cutting and preparing composite material kits for multiple customers within the automotive, aerospace, or motorsport industries. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, templates, and instructions to ensure high precision in cutting materials for laminating and assembly. The Composite Kit Cutter plays a vital role in meeting production and quality targets while supporting the overall manufacturing process. Main Duties Cutting composite materials based on templates, patterns, and engineering drawings. Preparing kits of materials for laminating and assembly processes. Operating cutting machines and manual tools to ensure precision and efficiency in kit preparation. Ensuring that all cut materials meet quality standards before forwarding them to the laminating and assembly teams. Supporting vacuum bagging and autoclave operations by ensuring materials are prepped and cut to exact specifications. Working alongside the laminating team to provide materials on time to meet delivery schedules. Assisting in template manufacture when necessary. Contributing to the company’s 5S and LEAN manufacturing initiatives by maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Requirements At least two years of experience in the composites or related industries. Experience in kit cutting and handling composite materials. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and templates accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards. Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. A proactive, can-do attitude and ability to work well within a team. Basic knowledge of race car or road car components and assembly processes is a plus. Experience with vacuum bagging and autoclave operations is desirable
