We are currently exclusively assisting our client with the recruitment of a Tendering Specialist in Kintore. Purpose of Position: The Tendering Specialist will play a pivotal role in our business development and sales process. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive proposals and bids for potential projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with client requirements. Your technical expertise in fabrication, structural engineering, and pipeline construction will be essential in understanding project complexities and requirements, enabling you to create compelling proposals that secure new business opportunities. Major Responsibilities: The below is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation. Role-specific responsibilities Project Analysis: Conduct a thorough analysis of project specifications, blueprints, and client requirements for fabrication and pipeline projects in coordination with technical team. Expertise: Tendering Specialist will have understanding of fabrication engineering principles and pipeline construction methods to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges. Development: Prepare detailed proposals, bids, and tender documents that clearly outline project scope, cost estimates, timelines, and technical solutions. Estimation: Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate cost estimations and pricing strategies, while maintaining competitiveness in the market. Maintain a well-organised repository of project documents, specifications, and drawings to facilitate proposal development. Communication: Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements, address technical inquiries, and participate in meetings as necessary. Tendering Specialist will ensure proposals adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines. Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to enhance the company's competitiveness. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, operations and project management, to gather information and insights for proposal development. Management: Work efficiently to meet proposal submission deadlines and assist in tracking proposal outcomes. Requirements: Job Specific Education Required: Qualification in Welding or construction, or relevant experience in proposals in a similar role Work Experience Required: Professional experience preparing sales quotations and proposals for construction and pipeline projects. Knowledge of construction processes and pipeline construction. Skills& Knowledge Required: Excellent knowledge of English (every other language is a plus). Communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of Microsoft office, such as Word and Excel, is a must. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
