Here at EMIS, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior UX Architect to join our highly capable and talented Product Experience & Design team on a 12 month fixed term contract. Responsible for providing essential technology to 10,000 healthcare organisations across all major UK health sectors, you will play a significant part in driving the success of modernising our flagship primary care product, EMIS Web. This role will see you have a focus on the end-to-end user centered design process for the technical integrations of our products. We are looking for a Senior UX Architect with a passion for securing structure and optimised user flows within complex product suites. Collaboration is key at EMIS; you will work closely with the wider Product Design team to shape the end experiences for our healthcare professionals. This Senior UX Architect position is mainly remote working, however our product design team meet on an ad hoc basis in collaboration hubs in the south of England. What you’ll do As a Senior UX Architect, we will be looking for you to understand and appreciate how user research informs the design of our clinical products. Involved in every aspect of the PXD process, we want you promote a user centered and evidence based approach to product design. Within this UX position, you will collaborate with our development and engineering teams to understand how back end data sets and technical integrations impact end user task flows ensuring exception handling and rule mapping forms part of artefact outputs. We’re looking for collaborators who can represent the user at all times with stakeholders whilst working in an agile framework. Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include: Develop user journeys, sitemaps, task flows, storyboards, wireframes and prototypes in order to communicate interaction and design ideas, as well as validate assumptions and solutions with users, business and technology. Identify the types of UX activities and deliverables required for specific requirements Partner with Product Managers & Owners to align UX best practice into agile processes. Who you’ll be We need you to be an experienced UX Architect/Designer with a passion for focusing design solutions on end user needs. You will be able to demonstrate experience in the discovery and ownership of the end-to-end design solutions in your career. With experience with information architecture, you will have the ability to drive optimised user journeys across multiple software platforms. Technical and professional skills we are looking for you to demonstrate include; Expert Figma & Axure user – able to deliver artefacts which help with both usability testing, technical validation of concepts and stakeholder visualisation of solution. The role will also require using a shared Design system to deliver hi fidelity designs and working prototypes on occasions. Confident story teller – the ability to clearly communicate design decisions based on user and other relevant insights Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
