We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in structural steel to join a leading construction organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the success of various projects through precise and timely estimating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates for structural steel projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review project specifications and drawings to understand scope, requirements, and potential challenges.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and collect data for accurate estimating.
  • Identify and quantify materials, labour, and equipment requirements through thorough analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, ensuring timely delivery of quotations to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients throughout the tender process, addressing any queries or concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in the estimating process.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction sector, specifically in structural steel.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are preferred.
