Role Overview As the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and distributing products. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining efficient inventory management processes, all while working closely with the Warehouse Manager.
What does a typical day sound like? The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the organisation of training and recruitment within the warehouse. You will be responsible for supervising and motivating warehouse staff to ensure productivity and adherence to safety regulations. You will effectively plan for all warehouse resources. You will be responsible for collaborating with other departments to coordinate logistics and ensure timely order fulfilment. You will be expected to utilise data analysis and reporting to optimise warehouse performance and minimise costs.
Requires Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse management or a related field. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Proficiency in inventory management software and systems. Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting. IT skills – proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Experience in ecommerce fulfilment is advantageous.
