Position Are you a Support Worker who is passionate about helping make a difference? Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre is looking for an enthusiastic Workshop Assistant and Support Worker to join our friendly team supporting Art Makers at our Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your compassionate, caring, and inspiring skills whilst contributing to our cause of helping people go beyond expectations.Salary: £11.75 per hour/£13,930.80 per annum based on 3 daysHours per week: 15.2 - 22.8 weekdays 8:30-16:30 (2 to 3 days)Weeks per Year: 52Holiday: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holidayClosing Date: 29th September 2024 - 12 NoonFor more information please see the job description and personal specification RequirementsEssential Skills: Experience and willingness to assist with their personal care requirements as needed, whilst maintaining their dignity An ability to inspire and encourage others towards working and creating Commitment to undertake training as required Desirable Skills: Experience of working in an Arts/Education environment Experience of working with people with visual impairment Be in possession of NVQ Level 2 or a Diploma in Health and Social Care Other informationHenshaws Society for Blind People aims to employ a diverse workforce and is committed to equality of employment and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.Henshaws is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.
