Wanted - Exp. Nanny - Sept. - 1 yr old

We are looking for someone to be with us until our 1 year old starts school. A proactive and a great communicator for no more than 35 hours of help to care for our 1-year-old daughter and/or do some light baby work (ie cleaning kitchen, meal prep). We have a cleaner so this isn’t a cleaning role.

The hours would be roughly M-Th for around 4 hours during the working day (to be determined) and Fridays from 8:45-5:45, with one consistent weeknight of babysitting which can be agreed as per your availability and preferences.

We want someone who will stay with us until the baby goes to school and longer if our family grows.

Schedule would be long Fridays from 8:45-5:45, and Mon-Thurs for 4 hour slots each day - which we will agree closer to the time but will be between 8am-6pm. In addition to this, we are looking for one night per week of babysitting.

You should be comfortable setting gentle boundaries to teach her what is safe and acceptable while also being comfortable allowing her to be upset by boundaries.

You should have an abundance of patience and allow for a lot of time for the baby to do things herself.

You should be the kind of person who lets her create a big mess, and then spends a lot of time helping her clean it up. It’s often much easier to avoid conflict and time spent by doing things yourself, but we want someone to teach by example that getting messy is okay as long as we clean up.
