This position is for a leadership role within the sales and marketing team at a manufacturer of laboratory and industrial equipment. It’s an exciting opportunity to join my client during of a process of significant growth.The successful candidate will join a young team of five individuals and will be responsible for supporting the sales team in identifying and winning new OEM accounts. The candidate will also oversee growth in revenue from service, distributors and end user sales. The candidate will work closely with marketing to develop new content and strategies to increase the number of enquiries generated and to create materials to support the sales process.The successful candidate will initially work closely with the sales director to develop a sales plan which will enable my client to continue to grow. My client follow a simple sales process which the sales and marketing manger will be expected to develop and execute for their team and the sales director.The role will be primarily office based with flexible working conditions following a successful probation period.It is expected that sales will grow in value by a minimum of 10% per year.Duties and responsibilities.Support all team members with technical advice or sales support in order to deliver excellent level of service.Build experience over time to become a product expertCreate technical quotations and present them with confidence to key prospective customersWork with colleagues in marketing to ensure that the right content is developed to support both sales and after sales activities.Feedback to the technical team to drive new product development and continuous improvement of the current product offering.Ensuring complete and accurate information is added into the CRM so that work is efficient and good sales statistics can be produced.Grow the assigned territory by a minimum of 10% per year.Lead generation. It is vital that the candidate has a creative approach and demonstrated success in lead generationAttending trade shows, both as an exhibitor and to prospect new clients. Largely within Europe.Develop autonomy from the sales director to allow them to focus on growing the US business.Ensure that lessons learned in the US are transferred to other territories. We are looking for a candidate who:Is passionate about engineering and technology and will be excited about being able to really make their mark within a manufacturing engineering SME.Has a proven track record in sales or project management5 years experience of working with international businessIdeally a degree or background in science or engineering.Has an strong interest in personal development and is looking to grow into an excellent team leader in a growing team.Understands the value of establishing and refining a sales processUnderstands the importance of accurate forecasting and the value it brings to sales teams.Demonstrates personal qualities including being transparent & accountable, honest and approachable, efficient & results driven, customer focussed & solution orientated.Proven ability to work to self-imposed targets and achieve successIf you think this could be a good fit for you, please apply directly or send your resume to [email protected].
