Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer Hours: Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week Pay: £28,000 - £33,000 Location: Norfolk Benefits: Flexible working hours (around core hours), Full product training, Company Van & Fuel card, Laptop, Phone, ‘on the road lunch’, Private Medical insurance, Income protection, Life assurance, Pension – increasing with length of service, Quality and annual awards. We are seeking a Field Service engineer who has experience in the repair and /or servicing of electro-mechanical equipment. You will be able to read diagrams and schematics and demonstrate a methodical approach to your work. We are seeking candidates who are either based in the Norfolk area. You will be based from home and travelling to locations up to a hour away. You will be working on your own initiative however you will be part of a supportive team. Who are we? What our client can offer you: * Manage all service requests efficiently and effectively to ensure that customers receive a prompt and professional service and equipment downtime is minimised. * Ensure that all equipment is maintained and repaired to the highest standard. * Liaise with staff at the beginning and end of each visit to ensure that their expectations are met. * Process and fully complete service orders using laptop. * Develop excellent customer relationships with managers. * Manage van stock. * Escalate any quality issues to the engineering and quality teams. * Maximise sales opportunities by providing excellent customer service- pass on any leads for new business to the sales team. What we are looking for: * Experience of repair or servicing electro-mechanical equipment, reading diagrams and schematics. * Self-motivated and the ability to work well on your own initiative * Demonstrate an organised and methodical approach to your work, keeping calm under pressure. * Be solution focused with a passion for continuous improvement. * Have a good standard of PC literacy and confidence with computer updates. * Experience of Networks/Networked products.
