In-House Solicitor – Planning and Real Estate (0-3 PQE) Location: GlasgowType: Full Time / PermanentSalary: Highly Competitive with Annual Bonus, Private Healthcare, excellent annual leaveIconic Resourcing is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for an In-House Planning and Property Solicitor to join the legal team of a leading energy network operator. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's ambitious decarbonisation objectives and investment plans across Central and Southern Scotland, Wales and England.Roles & Responsibilities:Provide legal support for strategic consenting matters, managing legal aspects of existing and new development, planning, or property projects.Lead the preparation and conduct of public inquiries, hearings, and written submissions for obtaining necessary consents or permissions from local or central government, including compulsory acquisition of land rights.Support the Land & Planning team, Executive Team, and external advisors on strategic projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory bodies and governmental organisations.Offer commercially pragmatic and robust legal advice to facilitate business objectives, developing legal and environmental consenting strategies for investment and network reinforcement projects.Conduct legal analysis and provide support on detailed consenting applications for new infrastructure within licensed areas, reviewing environmental statements across differing legal jurisdictions.Collaborate closely with key support functions, maintaining regular contact and working relationships with Senior Managers and Executives across the business.What You Will Bring:0-3 years PQE ideally with experience in planning law, real estate property, in-house, or an energy seat during your Traineeship.Scottish qualified solicitorStrong desire to work and develop a legal career in the energy sector, contributing to the investment required to upgrade the network and meet Net Zero targets.If you are passionate about making a significant impact in the energy sector and meet the qualifications listed above, we want to hear from you.To apply for this role, please send your CV or contact Andrew Inglis at Iconic Resourcing or for a confidential chat contact [email protected] or call 07713 750 724Not all candidates will meet every single desired qualification or skill.
