Relief Chef - Care Home

Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate + Transport/Fuel Costs Covered Hours: 40 hours per week, Alternate Weekends Shift Pattern: Always finished by 6:00 PM!   About the Role: We are recruiting on behalf of a caring and dedicated care home that is looking for a Relief Chef to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef who enjoys variety and flexibility. You’ll be working in a warm, welcoming environment, preparing nutritious meals for residents. The role offers a great work-life balance, with no evening shifts and alternate weekends off. Transport and fuel costs will be covered, making it convenient for you to travel to and from the care home.   Key Responsibilities: Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook high-quality, balanced meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of residents. Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards. Menu Support: Work with the kitchen team to ensure menus are varied and meet the nutritional requirements of residents. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with care staff to ensure meals are served efficiently and to a high standard. Ideal Candidate: Experience: Previous experience as a Chef is required, but care home experience is not necessary. We welcome chefs from all backgrounds. Skills: Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious, healthy meals. Reliability: A dependable, flexible team player who can adapt to different kitchen environments.
