Part-Time Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger/Subcontractor Clerk
Surbiton (Office Based)
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Surbiton on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our subcontractor and purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy in processing invoices, timesheets, and maintaining comprehensive financial records.
This role will cover 21 hours per week either 3 full days or shorter days over a longer duration
Responsibilities:
* Efficiently process subcontractor timesheets and invoices.
* Code and post invoices to the accounting system, Evolution.
* Supplier statement reconciliation.
* Maintain and update the purchase ledger with precision.
* Collect timesheets weekly and collate for payroll purposes.
* Perform data entry tasks with a strong focus on accuracy.
* Utilise Excel to manage and analyse financial data.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar role.
* Experience of working in the construction industry is highly desirable (including subcontractors)
* Proficient in Excel and other accounting software, Evolution is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
