Structural Engineer - Bridges

Our client, a prominent player in the railway sector, is currently seeking an Experienced Structural Engineer specialising in bridges, to join their London-based team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of concept, schematic, and detailed designs for various civil structures Undertaking detailed analysis, design computations, and running complex models and constructability reviews Preparation of sketches and technical reports Peer review of detailed calculations, technical reports, and design concepts Co-ordination of designs with other project team consultants and clients Participation in internal design team meetings and external meetings with clients and other consultants Visits to construction and project sites to perform site inspections and provide observation reports and supporting engineering advice Guiding and liaising with design teams of engineers and drafters to ensure project objectives are being achieved Identifying opportunities for follow-on work, developing proposals and bids on small to medium scale projects, and supporting bids and proposal development on large scale projects Job Requirements: Membership or working towards membership of a relevant Engineering Institution Experience in civil, heavy civil, structural, or bridge design Ability to undertake day-to-day engineering tasks with little supervision Experience with structural software (e.g., MIDAS, LUSAS, Strand) Geotechnical skills would be advantageous Benefits: Flexible working arrangements to help achieve a real work-life balance Vibrant central London location Competitive remuneration Be part of a team of talented, dedicated engineers who bring a unique offering to the UK market Close links with other global offices Inclusive and supportive organisational culture If you are an experienced Structural Engineer looking for a new opportunity to further develop your career, we would love to hear from you.
