Retail Catering Assistant Manager Beverage Operations London Stadium £35-37k + Bonus My Client: As one of the most iconic venues in London, this stadium hosts major sporting events, concerts, and large-scale functions, serving thousands of guests. They are renowned for delivering high-quality food and beverage experiences at scale. To continue providing top-tier service, we are seeking a dynamic Retail Catering Assistant Manager to focus on the beverage operations side of our Food & Beverage (F&B) service. This role emphasizes the logistics and execution of high-volume stock management, ensuring smooth beverage operations during peak event times. Key Responsibilities: Beverage Operations Management: Oversee the end-to-end beverage operations across multiple retail outlets within the stadium, ensuring efficient service during high-volume events. Coordinate with the wider F&B team to ensure all outlets are fully stocked and ready for service. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards related to beverage service. Logistics & Stock Management: Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of beverages across multiple concession stands and bars. Ensure accurate stock levels are maintained through careful forecasting and monitoring, with a focus on minimizing waste and optimizing inventory. Oversee deliveries, liaise with suppliers, and manage stock rotation to ensure product freshness and availability. Event Day Operations: Act as the key point of contact for beverage operations on event days, ensuring smooth execution under pressure. Coordinate with the wider stadium operations team to manage logistics for large-scale events, including setup, service, and breakdown. Address any operational challenges swiftly, ensuring that customer service remains at the highest standard. Team Leadership & Training: Assist in leading and training the beverage staff, ensuring they are equipped to handle high-volume service efficiently and professionally. Conduct pre-event briefings with the team to ensure they are prepared for the operational demands of each event. Support the Catering Manager in managing shifts, rotas, and team performance during events. Financial & Operational Oversight: Monitor beverage sales and profitability, ensuring that all operational targets are met. Assist with the reporting of financial performance, including sales figures and stock usage, to ensure transparency and accountability. Work closely with the Catering Manager to manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high service standards. Vendor & Supplier Relationships: Manage relationships with key beverage suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Collaborate with external vendors and internal departments to maintain smooth logistics and support stadium-wide operations. Key Requirements: Proven experience in beverage management within a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably within stadiums, arenas, or large-scale event venues. Strong background in logistics, stock management, and procurement. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing teams in a demanding environment.
