Maintenance Planner / Scheduler Belcan Workforce Solutions is excited to offer a contract opportunity for a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler at the Fife site of a multinational oil and gas corporation. This position is for a 14-month contract, offering full-time on-site work within an IR35 framework. Scope of Work: As the Maintenance Planner / Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in supporting the remote planning team based in India by providing detailed, on-the-ground information. Your primary task will be to ensure that the offsite planning team receives accurate field data to facilitate effective planning and execution of tasks. Key responsibilities include: Conducting thorough assessments of site and equipment conditions Providing accurate scope corrections and conducting field scoping with process planners Identifying process isolation locations and coordinating necessary arrangements such as scaffolding and insulation Preparing detailed piping isometrics, including dimensions, materials, and support structures Verifying existing isometric drawings and highlighting any discrepancies or site-specific challenges Ensuring accurate documentation through photographs, sketches, and detailed reports Collaborating closely with the BTC Planner to share field data and maintain an efficient workflow Participating in site visits on behalf of the BTC Planner and resolving any technical queries that arise Attending regular Zoom meetings and responding promptly to planning queries or backlog issues Specific Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in petrochemicals, oil, or heavy industry, with a focus on piping Strong understanding of technical discussions, cross-sectional equipment drawings, and piping isometrics Proficient in reading P&IDs and familiar with plant layouts, equipment locations, and functional roles Basic knowledge of the unit you will be working on (process training provided upon joining) Proficient in basic computer skills such as MS Office, MS Outlook, etc. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships effectively This role is ideal for a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler looking to make a significant contribution to the planning process for a high-profile oil and gas project.
