Mechanical Supervisor

Mechanical Supervisor required for long term freelance work in & around Somerset.  This is on South West Water', working with one of their civil engineering Main Contractors. Ideally, you will have experience in complex water, wastewater and process treatment.  That said, Candidates whose experience is outside of Water, but is within Power or other heavy industry/civils, will definitely be considered.  Above all, they need someone with a strong installation background. Their Mechanical Supervisor role is envisaged to be 70% site office based, 30% actually on site.  The work is expected to last at least 6 months.  Duties include: ·         Overseeing subcontractor works, monitoring quality and delivery of work packages. ·         Managing direct mechanical operatives ·         Day to day planning, organising, supervision and control of M&E installation. ·         Assessing new works, undertaking surveys, etc. ·         Ensuring company safety policies are adhered to at all times. ·         Communicating plans, programmes and safe systems of work with project stakeholders and ensuring their understanding and compliance.  To be considered, our client requires you to have Mechanical qualifications/certification, along with CSCS and either SSSTS or SMSTS.  A full UK Driving License is also essential.
